FAQ

This course is designed for adult beginners who have taken the Igbo beginners group classes.

Classes are taught using standard Igbo, with a focus on sentence structure, vocabulary, tone, and meaning. You’ll be guided step by step to think and express ideas directly in Igbo, building understanding alongside speaking ability.

Lessons are interactive and paced to support learning without overwhelming you.

Each live class is instructor-led and interactive. You’ll learn new structures and vocabulary, practice speaking, listen closely to pronunciation and tone, and ask questions in real time. Classes emphasize understanding why sentences work, not just memorizing them.

All live classes are recorded. If you miss a session or want to review, you’ll have access to the recordings so you can keep up at your own pace.

Participants receive supportive learning materials, including:

  • Structured study guides
  • Audio pronunciation resources
  • Practice exercises
  • Access to class recordings

These materials are designed to reinforce what’s taught live and support steady progress.

The course runs for 12 weeks and includes:

  • 1 live Zoom class per week (1 hour)
  • Guided practice between sessions

Exact class times are listed in multiple time zones below.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a solid foundation in standard Igbo. You’ll understand basic sentence structures, use core vocabulary, follow conversations more confidently, and express simple ideas with clarity and intention.

You are not only by far one of the best Igbo teachers out there, but you are also one of the best at teaching a foreign language to native English speakers. I am using your tips on learning other languages as well. I am subscribed to your YouTube channel as well.

This igbo course is fantastic, thanks! I wanted to learn a new different language, and igbo is an interesting one, yet very unknown by people. And it shouldn't be, because igbo is spoken by 45 million people in the world. You're doing a great job teaching igbo. Stay cool.
